With a shared commitment to empowering South African youth and igniting brilliance in education, they lend their strategic insights, innovative thinking, and unwavering dedication to the foundation's endeavors.
These trustees play a pivotal role in charting the course for Bosele, ensuring that their collective vision is translated into impactful initiatives that make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners across South Africa.
Deputy Chairperson of Bosele Foundation who is an Independent Medical Practitioner by profession with a passion for Education and Health Economics and currently working in the health insurance industry.
Oatile is committed to being an active citizen and was inspired to serve by leaders such as Steve Biko & Thomas Sankara, through collaborative efforts, by Paolo Freire, and with unwavering authenticity, by Fela Kuti.
In addition to serving as Bosele’s chairperson, Oatile is an orthopaedic surgeon and healthcare entrepreneur.
Kutlwano, an actuarial professional with extensive experience in funds and schemes, is dedicated to transforming education in South Africa. He is a founding trustee of Bosele and actively mentors students and actuarial professionals through outreach programs and organizations like ERF and ASABA.
Puso is a founding trustee of Bosele and is deeply committed to improving education outcomes for underprivileged children in South Africa. He is an admitted attorney & currently holds the position of junior Partner at McKinsey & Company. His personal journey of educational empowerment, supported by organizations like Bosele, fuels his unwavering dedication to continuing the legacy of investing in the education of all South Africans in need.
Mogola has a wealth of financial experience, including a qualification as a Chartered Accountant. He has applied these learnings with work experience in auditing, accounting advisory and most recently in investment banking. Mogola is deeply passionate about education and donates his resources at Bosele because he believes it is one of the change agents required for transforming South Africa.
Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa joined Naspers as South Africa CEO, in July 2019. She is the former Executive Chairperson of Sigma Capital, an investment holding company formed in 2015. Sigma also has a private equity fund held jointly with the Ventures team of Rand Merchant Bank. Ms Mahanyele-Dabengwa is the former CEO of Shanduka Group, an investment holding company she joined in 2004 and left in 2015.
Prior to that, she was the Head of the Project Finance South Africa business unit at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. Prior to the DBSA, she was Vice President at Fieldstone, an international firm specialising in the financing of infrastructure assets. She joined them in New York in 1997 and later transferred to the South African office.
She is involved in a number of activities with youth in her personal capacity. She mentors young professionals and supports students.
